For most of her long life Floy Morway, begged, borrowed, saved, and even stole cats to save them from abuse, abandonment, and worse. Over 40 years ago she founded Adopt-a-Cat, an organization which has now saved thousands of feline lives as one of the all-too-few refuges in the USA with a no-kill policy.

The Cat Lady of Concord takes the reader behind the scenes and over the top as the author recounts cat tales of all sorts based on the real life episodes of her crusade for the better treatment of cats and animals in general.

Floy Morway was born in Canada and has lived in Concord, MA since 1982. The organization she founded, now called Adopt-a-Cat of Concord, still continues to save and re-home felines. For her years of selfless dedication to animals the New England Anti-Vivisection Society awarded her their Reverence for Life Award.

Meet Brandy and Brunswick (rescued from being a prize in a sea-side arcade), Munchkin (the hunky black tom), Cynthia the Calico and neurotic Stanley, Geo and Wellington, and the cat in the Christmas bag.
Here are dozens of hilarious and touching stories not only of cats but of coyotes, two snails in a brandy snifter and a rabbit which had to be stolen.
